2011-12 Positive School-Wide Behavioral Program

2011-12 Positive School-Wide Positive Behavioral Program

  • Good tickets and tokens
  • Good Tickets ( 5 points each)
  • Given for monthly focus reinforcement
  • Students will turn them in to the office during afternoon break.
  • Principal keeps track of the tickets each student turns into him.
  • Principal will make an account for each student and each ticket they hand in is worth 5 points towards the good ticket store.
  • End of trimester students can spend their points at the good ticket store.
  • Please avoid some students earning numerous tickets, while others earn nothing; please try to consistently reward good behavior. Last year, we had a few students whose behavior was not always consistent, and teachers gave significant tickets to a few of these students to try to reinforce their good behavior when they saw it; the problem was that they were receiving more points than the students who were consistently doing what they should.  This year, I would like tickets given only to the students who show consistent positive behavior over time.
  • Teachers receive 20 tickets each month
  • Tokens
    • Will be given out as part of the principals 200 club.
    • Every kid gets one if they were on the 1st 3 rows to fill up
    • Then when the board is full, we do blackout = draw 20-30 names.
    • Given for special occasions by the office
    • Can be used by teachers to reward monthly focus, if purchased with state money.
    • Will also be given out to winners of questions of the day.
  •  “Behavior Slip” (positives worth 5, negatives worth different amount of points based on what occurrence it is).
  • Teachers/staff will fill out behavior slip for good and bad behaviors
  • Teachers/staff will then give the slip to principal, before you send it home.
  • Principal will keep track of negative and positive points (on the H drive = behavior 2011-12).  This drive can be accessed by all to view student’s points.
  • On the bottom of each slip, principal will keep track of running balance positive or negative.
  • Points
  • They will be used to determine if a student can go to our end of trimester activities, or other fun activities.
  • Earned or lost for behavioral slips
  • Points will be spent at the good ticket store, held at the end of each trimester.
  • Students of the month
  • Each teacher will select 2 students who demonstrate exemplary behavior towards the behavioral goal of the month.
  • The student’s picture will be taken, hung in the school, and printed in the paper.  They will also receive a treasure tower token, and a certificate.
  • End of Trimester Reward activities
  • These are printed on the bottom of your weekly schedule.  Please talk to your students and remind them regularly about the reward for the month.
  • Good ticket store
  • Held at the end of the Trimester, where students can spend their points on prizes.
