In their most recent reading unit, our third grade students have been learning about elections, candidates, and the voting process. To help enrich their learning, our third grade teachers invited Garland Mayor, Danny Austin, to speak to our students. Then they got to participate in their own voting and campaigning process! Well done, 3rd grade!
More Dia de los Muertos. So cool!
Dia de los Muertos being celebrated with our Spanish classes today. Very cool to see photos of our students' loved ones on display.
Have a safe, happy weekend! Today was so fun! A special shout out to everyone who helped the room parties happen for our students!
World's Greatest PTA? Garland's PTA!! Such a fun night🍁🎉🍁🎃
1 more hour of fun!! Come join us!
Fall Carnival Fun!!!
Veterans wanted for our assembly! 🇺🇸
We are RED-y to make good choices at Garland!
Our fall carnival is FREE and FABULOUS!! But our carnival prize monster is empty! Poor thing! Next time you're at the grocery store, please consider buying an extra bag of candy to feed our monster so that we have plenty to give out as prizes at the carnival. Your student can feed the monster in the office.
So silly and fun!
Our staff decided to have an underground spirit week. It was really fun to see everyone sneaky-style dressing up this week. It all capped off today with "anything but a cup." These amazing leaders work hard for your students, but also know how to have a good time and bring lots of smiles.
Our student leaders got to learn some amazing lessons from their leadership conference today. They learned that service and thinking of others is the key to lasting happiness and that they can choose to find happiness whatever happens in their lives. It was awesome!
Random tardy day winners for September is 4th grade! YAY!
Our random tardy day was September 22nd and 4th grade had the least amount of tardies that day. That means our students were at school ON TIME and ready TO LEARN! Way to go 4th grade students, parents and teachers!
