PTA President appreciation post--Austin Maxfield has been our Garland PTA President these past 2 years. She has worked so hard to ensure that our students and staff get to have "bonus" experiences that help make school so fun. Yesterday and today she's been here sitting up delicious drinks and food to welcome our staff. We're so grateful for generous volunteer leaders like Austin! Thank you!! Everyone serving on our PTA board...we love and appreciate you!

A huge thank you to all the amazing individuals who came and shared your professions, talents, and time with our Garland Bears at Bear University yesterday!

Your willingness to inspire, teach, and connect with our students made the day so special. Because of you, our students were able to learn about exciting careers, new skills, and big possibilities for their future.

We also want to give a special thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without you!

It's on!! The finals for the Book Battle Blitz are about to begin... It's the Book Dragons versus the Animaniacs! Good luck to both teams!

Today was the Book Battle Blitz. Students formed teams and read a selected list of books throughout the year. Now it is time for the teams to be tested on their knowledge and to compete to answer detailed questions about the books. Way a fun way to work together and enjoy a good book!
